Well, I guess politics has become so popular that 7/11 has decided to make a set of coffee cups representing each candidate: red for McCain and blue for Obama.

It appears that Obama is leading is this survey, upping McCain by 18%

7/11 did this in both 2000 and 2004 and was within 1% of the national vote.

Is this an accurate foretelling of one of the most important elections of my generation, or do people like their coffee black?

  1. The problem here is that the more coverage it gets, the more people want to be a part of it. I read about this in the newspaper awhile back, and since then I’ve heard dozens of people at school talking about how they “need to buy coffee so Obama will beat Bush!”

I’m not saying that their prediction won’t come true; only that the more people hear about it, the more bias is introduced.

  2. It may or may not be biased, some people might genuinely pick who they voted or will vote for, it’s just a fun little thing they try, its not a do or die thing.

  5. Thanks, I sorta made this just to see how the interface works (Its kinda obvious that I didn’t get it the first time.)

I think I might have fun with this, Dave is a genius.

  6. The only poll that counts is the one in November. I don’t see how an accurate “prediction” can be made from less than the entirety of the population.

  7. I don’t know either, but somehow it worked out the other 2 times they did it.

    Maybe they hired a magician?
