General Guidelines
Posted in: Uncategorized by famicommander on October 12, 2008
This page outlines what is expected from contributors to this site. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a revocation of your posting privileges.
1 Posting
New members will need to prove to us that they can contribute to this site at an acceptable level. The first five articles a new user submits will be subject to review by an administrator. If the article meets our standards, it will be posted. If it does not meet our standards, it will not be posted. If a new user submits five acceptable articles, they will be able to post freely without administrator review. But that does not mean that their posts cannot be deleted or edited. Administrators will do their best not to censor the writers, but you can expect us to delete or edit out inappropriate material or bad errors in spelling or grammar.
2. What exactly are our “standards”?
-There will be no posting any illegal material or any links to illegal material.
-There will be no posting any pornography of any kind. The definition of pornography is completely up to the administrators.
-Strong language is not inherently disallowed, but it should only be used sparingly and tastefully. Posting strong language for the sake of it makes you sound unintelligent, and what you post reflects upon the staff.
-Posting blatantly false information under the “news” category is not allowed.
-Stories need to be categorized correctly. Do not post your review of a video game under anime news.
3. Categories
Our categories system is not a complex one. There are 2 main categories that articles are to be identified with. The first one is “news”. News is for posting relevant (or irrelevant) information about a given topic.
The second on is “editorials”. Editorials is for posting your opinion (including reviews or rants) about a given topic.
The remaining categories are used to tell us what your post deals with. It could be sports, movies, anime, gaming etc. Please specify news or editorials and choose at least 1 topic category before posting the story.
The final category is a special one. I refer to the frontpage category. You must mark this if you want your story to be shown on the main page of the site otherwise it will only be visible in your personal blog.
